When you need Contact Resource Management

Customer relationship management (CRM) consists of the processes a company uses to track and organize its contacts with its current and prospective customers. CRM software is used to support these processes; information about customers and customer interactions can be entered, stored and accessed by employees in different company departments. Typical CRM goals are to improve services provided to customers, and to use customer contact information for targeted marketing.

While customer relationship management can be implemented without major investments in software, software is often necessary to explore the full benefits of a CRM strategy. However, most CRM software vendors stress that a successful effort requires a holistic approach. Many initiatives often fail because implementation was limited to software installation, without providing the context, support and understanding for employees to learn, and take full advantage of the information systems. Tools for customer relationship management should be implemented "only after a well-devised strategy and operational plan are put in place". This is why Naples Webmasters recommends using fully integrated web applications for contact resource management.

In regards to the CRM, I think it really depends on the features you are looking for. Here are the features I recommend:
1- Either can be easily integrated into your shopping cart or has a shopping cart system.
2- Either has a support ticket system or can easily integrate a support ticketing system into your website.
3- Track orders and support tickets as well as manage all customer data.

Everything should be seamlessly integrated so that customers can be tracked at all stages of the process.

Other features I have seen for CRMs are email marketing and lead tracking.

I have used Infusionsoft CRM in the past with another client and they liked it. Infusionsoft includes a shopping cart, but it may not fit your needs. Infusionsoft is also very expensive. There is a large upfront cost and you must pay per user per month. Hopefully if you are making the sales, it will pay for itself.

Another option is SugarCRM. There is an Open Source version that can be completely customized for your needs. I can host it on my server, or you can host it in your office. The application runs on PHP so I can completely program it for your needs.

If you like to schedule an online meeting to demonstrate the SugarCRM, please contact Naples Webmasters.
